Twitter CEO Praises Article Calling For New ‘Civil War’ in Which Republicans Are Destroyed

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has endorsed an article calling for the Republican party to be wiped out in the U.S. for at least a couple of generations and replaced by a de facto one-party state controlled by well-meaning Democrats.

According to the article’s author – another liberal tech CEO called Peter Leyden – the Republican party is now so morally indefensible on every level that it is equivalent to the Confederacy in the Civil War, which had to be defeated because it was on the “wrong side of history.”

Leyden writes:

Let’s just say what needs to be said: The Republican Party over the past 40 years has maneuvered itself into a position where they are the bad guys on the wrong side of history. For a long time, they have been able to hide this fact through a sophisticated series of veils, invoking cultural voodoo that fools a large enough number of Americans to stay in the game. However, Donald Trump has laid waste to that sophistication and has given America and the world the raw version of what current conservative politics is all about.

The Republican Party is all about rule by and for billionaires at the expense of working people. Trump is literally the incarnation of what the party stands for: shaping laws for the good of billionaires and the 1 percent. His cabinet is stuffed with them.

The Republican Party is the party of climate change denial. Trump is the denier-in-chief, but there are 180 climate science deniers in the current Congress (142 in the House and 38 in the Senate), and none of them are Democrats. More than 59 percent of Republicans in the House and 73 percent of Republicans in the Senate deny the scientific consensus that climate change is happening, that human activity is the main cause, and that it is a serious threat. Another way to say it is that the Republican Party is in the pocket of the oil and carbon energy industry. Trump just cut through the crap and named Exxon’s CEO as our secretary of state to unravel the United Nations climate accords. No beating around that bush for the sake of appearances — Trump burned the bush down.

Jack Dorsey is now busily trying to row back from suggestions that when he wrote “great read” he was in any way endorsing the liberal-fascist sentiment of Leyden’s extraordinary, anti-democratic screed.

Trump Effect: More Democrats Fear ‘Climate Change’; Republicans Not So Much…

Surprise

Fewer and fewer Republicans and Independents believe that ‘climate change’ is a credible threat; more and more Democrats do. ‘Global warming’, it is becoming increasingly clear, is a political issue and not a scientific one.

This shift is shown in the latest Gallup survey:

Fears

Here are some of the findings:

It’s Over. Now Even Democrats Give up on ‘Climate Change’

‘Climate change’ just officially ceased being an important issue in U.S. politics.
President Trump didn’t mention it in his State of the Union address. But nor, much to the disgust of environmentalists – did the Democrats in their rebuttals.

A shocked Huffington Post has named and shamed the key Democrats who could have spoken out but didn’t:

In his speech, Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-Mass.) didn’t bring up global warming, sea-level rise or the surge in global greenhouse gas emissions, which threaten to become worse as the Republican White House ramps up fossil fuel production to unprecedented levels.

and

Even the State of the Union statement issued by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), considered one of the most hawkish Democrats on climate issues, snubbed climate change.

It was left to Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) to keep the faith:

Alexandria Shootings Show the Left’s Toxic Hatred Has Gone Too Far…

James Hodgkinson

FBI via AP
Gosh what could possibly have been the motivation of Alexandria shooter James Hodgkinson, the Bernie-Sanders-loving,  Russia-collusion-obsessed liberal activist whose Facebook page boasts about his participation in the Climate March on DC, celebrates the wisdom of Neil Degrasse Tyson, “likes” a cartoon showing Steve Scalise to be in league with the Ku Klux Klan, thinks the U.S. is secretly run by the Koch Brothers, and who signed a petition with the left wing online pressure group Change.org claiming that “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time To Destroy Trump & Co”?Unfortunately, he left so few clues that we may never know. And it’s not just me who’s puzzled. So too is one of America’s most respected veteran news analysts, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer:

Absolutely. But suppose we were to hazard a wild flying guess, here’s what I think. I think it might possibly be the case that those guys practicing baseball were targeted because they were Republicans.

What’s more, I suspect that one of the reasons Hodgkinson found himself able to take out what one witness called an “AK-47-type weapon” and aim upwards of 50 rounds at a group of unarmed men playing a ball game is that he didn’t think of them as viable human beings. To him, they were just a form of vermin to be exterminated; they were a threat to the U.S and, as far as the gunman was concerned, he was doing his country a favor.

Where did he get this idea? I cannot imagine. But here are some things I found being circulated on social media by impeccable liberal types recently.

This one is from a fairly famous Irish comedy scriptwriter called Graham Linehan, responsible for such lighthearted cult comedy series as Father Ted and The IT Crowd.
